Aampere raises €4.2 million to build Europe's leading platform for used electric cars

Aampere has raised €4.2 million to scale its pan-European digital platform.

Munich, 23 July 2026 - Munich-based e-mobility startup Aampere has raised €4.2 million to expand its fully digital resale platform for used electric cars across Europe. The round is led by Estonian VC Trind Ventures.

Joining the round is Vend Marketplaces ASA, the Nordic family of marketplaces behind FINN.no, Blocket and Bilbasen, which joins as a minority investor. Also newly on board is G-FUND, an investor focused on major consumer trends. The existing investors around GIMIC are increasing their stakes as well; in addition, experienced business angels from the automotive industry are participating.

David Hoffmann, VP Strategy & Growth at Vend Mobility, comments:

“C2B is one of our core pillars in Vend Mobility, and we see EV adoption accelerating rapidly across the Nordics. Aampere is tackling the resulting inventory imbalance with an intelligent transactional model, and we are excited to support their growth journey as a minority investor.”

- David Hoffmann, VP Strategy & Growth at Vend Mobility

A fragmented market - and the infrastructure it lacks

Adoption of electric cars keeps climbing across Europe - yet reselling used EVs remains fragmented, slow and, in many places, analog: manual handling, opaque processes, national silo solutions. And it is precisely this market that determines the pace of the e-mobility transition: not everyone can afford a new car - and without a fast, reliable used-car market, mass-market electric mobility won't take off.

Aampere is building the missing infrastructure - a fully digital, pan-European platform. Private and commercial sellers sell their used EV within 48 hours: a self-learning pricing algorithm, a digital condition-and-history check, and integrated vehicle logistics work hand in hand. A pan-European dealer auction establishes the highest bid, from which Aampere makes the seller a concrete purchase offer; once the seller accepts it, Aampere transfers the amount even before pickup, and the vehicle is then conveniently collected at the seller's home.

For founder and CEO Florian Reister, timing is decisive:

“Electromobility is on the rise across Europe - but the secondary market for used EVs is still fragmented and inefficient. Right now, what's needed is infrastructure for this secondary market. Aampere is building the platform for it - so that used electric cars quickly and reliably find the right buyer across Europe.”

- Florian Reister, Founder & CEO of Aampere

A model that measurably works

What started as a founding idea has, in a short time, become a company that's shaking up the market: today Aampere sells several thousand electric vehicles per year, revenue has quadrupled over the past year, and the team has grown to more than 25 employees. Sellers love the simplicity and speed - and confirm it with 4.9 stars on Google.

What the new partners make possible, Florian Reister sums up as follows:

“With fresh capital and strong new partners by our side, we're accelerating our expansion and further building our position in the European market.”

- Florian Reister, Founder & CEO of Aampere

The tailwind is structural, too: according to the latest figures from Germany's Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), ownership transfers of used electric cars in Germany have grown by around 60% per year on average over the past three years - despite political uncertainty and fluctuating new-car prices.

What the new capital will fund

With the fresh capital, Aampere is scaling both sides of its platform. For sellers (private and commercial), Aampere is opening up new acquisition channels and partnerships to bring more vehicles onto the platform. On the buyer side, Aampere continues to expand its dealer network and is entering new European markets.

“Soon, EV drivers will encounter Aampere at many touchpoints along their entire customer journey - not least while charging.”

- Florian Reister, Founder & CEO of Aampere

Trind Ventures is doubling its stake out of conviction in the shared journey:

“Flo, Maxi and Niko have delivered exceptionally in a short time - with around 4x growth over the past year and a customer experience that keeps getting better for sellers and buyers alike. We're glad to keep backing Aampere with full conviction.”

- Taavi Lepmets, Partner at Trind Ventures

G-FUND joins as a new investor betting on major consumer trends - convinced above all by the team behind Aampere:

“Helping to electrify one of Europe's largest industries is exactly the kind of endeavour we want to be part of. What excites us most about Aampere is the team: Flo, Maxi, Niko and the entire team haven't just built a strong product, but a scalable execution funnel.”

- Christof Wahl, Founding Partner at G-FUND

GIMIC, on board since day one, is also deliberately increasing its stake - convinced that Aampere solves a real market problem:

“Aampere solves a real problem: reselling electric vehicles in Europe is fragmented, slow and opaque. The team has proven in a short time that its model works - which is exactly why we're doubling down in this round. We're convinced they will build the leading platform for used EVs in Europe.”

- Tomas Burck, Partner at GIMIC

With this fresh capital, Aampere is in a strong position to lead the European secondary market for used electric cars.
